On November 8 from 10am-4pm, DCCC will have a free health fair with seminars, clinic health care and influenza vaccinations.
From 10:00-12:00, medical seminars will include
1. Caregiver Support
2. Hospice and home care
3. Living Will (Medical Power of Attorney), DNR (Do Not Resuscitate)
At 1pm, a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas speaker will discuss information about affordable care.
From 2pm-4pm, the clinic will begin free vaccination services and advice. We will have various doctors with various specialties to help answer health-related questions.
The free clinic is sponsored by the Asian American Cancer Center Services (AACCS), Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), BB&T Bank and Texas Instrument (TI).
Dallas Chinese activity center will also hold food/gift market place from 2pm-4pm. This will be a good time to enjoy some delicious food and complete some early shopping for Christmas. 華人活動中心十一月八日健康講座、義診、流感疫苗注射
及年終美食禮品義賣活動
達拉斯華人活動中心將於十一月八日上午十時起至下午四時舉辦一連串有健康醫療座談會及義診、流感疫苗注射。上午十時至十二時醫療講座，內容
1.Caregiver Support 護理者的支持
2.Hospice and home care 臨終關懷與家庭護理
3.Living will生前醫療遺囑&醫療委託書(Medical Power of Attorney)以及放棄急救意願書{DNR}Do Not Resuscitate.
下午一時至二時歐巴瑪保險講座則由Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas主講歐巴瑪保險相關資訊。
二時至四時義診開始，服務項目免費疫苗注射，小孩及老人優先，醫師義診有內科，婦產科，中醫，眼科，牙醫師，腸胃科，小兒科等等尚有其他醫生洽談之中，並有護理協會護士免費量血壓。若有關健康上的疑問，於現場可以詢問醫師，希望藉此讓僑民有正確看診就醫、用藥及早期發現疾病早期接受治療觀念，為僑民健康把關。同時小兒科醫師將與小朋友互動並解說如何加強注意孩童的飲食健康習慣。
此次義診活動是由活動中心以及亞美癌症關懷服務中心(AACCS)主辦，由Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX)、BB&T Bank與Texas Instrument (TI)贊助。
達拉斯華人活動中心也將在十一月八日舉辦年終美食禮品義賣活動。華人活動中心每年舉辦的年終義賣物品是琳瑯滿目，有人人喜愛的美食攤位，更有五花八門各式禮品，可以讓大眾趁早準備感恩及聖誕佳節送禮的禮品。義賣時間為上午十時至二時在中國城走廊上舉行，凡欲參與義賣行列者，每張桌子收費如下：社團及個人報名者，一張桌子20元，兩張35元。商家報名者，一張桌子50元，兩張90元。義賣當天所有收入中10%-20% 可給予活動中心，以作為中心活動經費。即日起接受報名,活動中心聯絡電話: 972-480-0311.
