DCCC Awards

Dallas Chinese Community Center (DCCC) established the “Spirit of Community Services Award” in 2003 to recognize selected individuals or organizations for outstanding contributions to the Chinese American and Asian American communities in the DFW area. The criteria of the award include: (1) significant contributions to the welfare, culture, education, and/or other aspects of the Chinese American or Asian American community during the past few years, (2) dedication to serving the community without seeking personal gains or public recognition, and (3) contribution to a positive image of Chinese Americans or Asian Americans. Previous award recipients include Chinese Institute of Engineers (DFW Chapter), organization of Chinese Americans (DFW Chapter), Tzu Chi (DFW Chapter), Felix Chen, Dallas Chinese Lion Club, Linda Kao, and Mrs. Shirley Kao. In 2009, Dallas Chinese Community Center awarded Angie Chen Button and Helene Lee for their contribution in the Chinese community.

Annual Award Ceremony

DCCC held its annual award ceremony to honor the winners of competitions in sports and arts during the year, including table tennis, karaoke, Mahjong, calligraphy, and Chinese writings.
