Dear Friends of Dallas Chinese Community Center (DCCC):

I would like to inform you about the Donor Bridge fund raising effort on Thursday, September 19th.  DCCC is one of the approved non-profit organizations to be benefitted from this effort. As some of you may know, DCCC’s mission is to promote Chinese culture and to foster diversity through educational programs that enhance the lives of the DFW community. The Donor Bridge organizers will spread the news through public media to hundreds of thousands of audience. However, we need to do our part to ensure that DCCC gets as many donors as possible. Your donation of $25 or more would be appreciated during the 17 hours from 7 a.m. to midnight on Sept. 19th. More importantly, please spread the news to your family and friends. It is a number’s game. There are two ways you can help.

Launched in 2009 by Communities Foundation of Texas with ongoing support from Center for Nonprofit Management and The Dallas Foundation, DonorBridge is the most comprehensive and free public resource for connecting North Texas nonprofits and supporters. “Each year, the generosity of North Texans is amazing,” said Brent Christopher, president and CEO, Communities Foundation of Texas and DonorBridge founder. “Through just four one-day North Texas Giving Day events, thousands have come together to raise more than $34 million dollars. We hope this year we’ll raise even more to fuel the important work of nonprofits serving our local communities.”

Those preferring to donate in person will experience a North Texas Giving Day like never before. In the spirit of celebrating almost around the clock, Communities Foundation of Texas will open its doors and parking lot to welcome donors starting at 7:00 a.m. with a kickoff breakfast event. From 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., donors may purchase lunch from local food trucks and more festivities are planned throughout the evening. The community- and family-friendly event will be a fun, educational day benefitting nonprofits across North Texas.
