Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia Support Group

The Dallas Chinese Community Center and Dr. Lee from the University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work are hosting a support group for people caring for their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. The support group will be conducted via Zoom, from 4:00PM to 5:00PM on the 2nd and 4thSundays starting April 9th 2023. The support group will focus on Alzheimer’s and dementia education and provide emotional support to non-professional caregivers.

DCCC is working with Light and Salt Association to conduct and implement advocacy activities to promote mental well-being and healthy lifestyles among Asian-American youth.  We are recruiting individuals to learn to become active advocates for the Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander in the community. 

We are looking for: 16-26 years old Asian Americans living in Texas (for those under 18 with parental permission), with English proficiency.  We will provide training sessions and learning opportunity through community projects.  The intern will also get paid for community service.

Submit completed application and resume to DCCC by the end of March, 2023.
