The Ninth Annual Calligraphy Competition on Oct. 29

The ninth annual calligraphy competition will be held on Saturday October 29 between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The competition will be in four groups- open group, senior group, middle group and junior group. The open group has no age limit. Cantonese Opera Concert

The center will sponsor the first Cantonese Opera Concert in Dallas at the center on Saturday October 29. The concert will start at 6:30 PM. Dallas Cantonese Opera Society will bring this very popular traditional theater to the community. For non-Cantonese speakers the libretto will be projected on screen so that they can follow the story and enjoy the beauty of this art.

DCCC is conveniently located in the Richardson "Chinatown" -a shopping center on Greenville Avenue, between Beltline Road and Arapaho Road. The center includes a library, a computer lab and various sizes of conference rooms. The facility has been used by a variety of organizations for periodic meetings as well as for instructional courses in computer, English, Chinese arts, dance, martial arts, and table tennis. Also available to the public is a library of Chinese literature. The facilities are available to the general public for a nominal fee. We welcome you all to visit us. |

Fundraising Banquet

Annual fundraising banquet is the biggest event DCCC has held each year for the last ten years. It is also the most important source of income for the Dallas Chinese Community Center. The net income from the fundraising pays for the operating expense. DCCC is an IRS registered 501(C)(3) organization. A volunteer board of directors is responsible for the revenue and operation decisions.
